Laura began her nursing career in 1992 after graduating from Sandhills Community College. She practiced for 23 years before earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Liberty University and her post master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Tennessee State University.
Laura Baxley is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who enjoys caring for patients of all ages – from birth to geriatric care. She has interest in: physical exams, well child visits, birth control, STI screening and treatment, PrEP management, injuries, infections, smoking cessation, acne treatments, travel medicine, and so much more. Laura Baxley is now offering PrEP and Hepatitis C treatment at the Bolivia and Shallotte locations.
Laura believes in providing the same care to her patients as she would expect from her primary care provider. She believes in developing strong relationships, in order to provide personalized care, tailored to meet each patient’s specific needs. Laura strives to empower patients to take active roles in their healthcare through education and healthy lifestyle choices.
Laura is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through American Academy of Nurse practitioners.
Laura enjoys spending time with family, exercising, sewing and sitting on the beach.
