We are pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Agape Awards Honorees. This year, we are honoring Tracie Davis, Audrey Gibson, Ronnie King, and Michael Lawton. Each of these individuals has made a significant contribution to the healthcare field, and we are proud to recognize their achievements.
Tracie Davis, Florida House of Representatives
Tracie Davis is a Democratic member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 13 in Duval County. She was first elected to the House in 2016. Prior to her election to the legislature, Davis served as an administrator at Edward Waters College and as a board member of the Jacksonville Children’s Commission. In the House, Davis serves on the Education & Employment Committee and the Health & Human Services Committee.
She is also a member of the Black Caucus. Representative Davis is a strong advocate for public education and has worked to increase funding for schools in her district.
Audrey Gibson, Florida Senate
Audrey Gibson is a Democratic member of the Florida Senate, representing the 6th District. She previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Gibson has advocated for education reform, gun safety, and environmental protection during her time in the legislature.
She is currently the ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and serves on the Commerce and Tourism, Education, and Rules committees. Gibson is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and attended the Florida State University. She and her husband have three children.
Mr. Ronnie King of MyVillage Project
Mr. Ronnie King is the founder of the MyVillage Project, a registered 501c3 organization to develop educational resources for students. The MyVillage Project started with a simple vision: to help every child succeed in school and reach their full potential. Today, the MyVillage Project provides educational resources and support to students in need, helping them overcome barriers to learning and succeed in school.
Thanks to the generous support of donors, the MyVillage Project has been able to touch the lives of thousands of students and make a lasting difference in their education. Ronnie King is a champion for education, and under his leadership, the MyVillage Project is making a real difference in the lives of students.
Mr. Michael Lawton of Florida Health Plan and United HealthCare
Mr. Michael Lawton is the current Florida Health Plan and United Healthcare CEO. He has over 35 years of experience in the health insurance industry and has been with United Healthcare for 4 years.
Mr. Lawton is a thought leader in the health insurance industry and has spoken at numerous conferences on the topic. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University and received his MBA from the University of Chicago. Mr. Lawton is a strong advocate for consumer choice in healthcare and believes that health insurance should be affordable for everyone. He is committed to providing quality healthcare coverage to all Americans and making sure that no one falls through the cracks.
